As a licensed moving company, we offer complimentary cargo protection to our customers, as mandated by the California Public Utilities Commission. This basic coverage provides compensation of 60 cents per pound per damaged item. If you require additional coverage, we recommend exploring external insurance providers for comprehensive moving insurance options.
Please be aware that Local Orange County Movers does not provide coverage for items of exceptional value, such as small, high-value electronics (e.g., iPhones, iPods, iPads, cell phones, laptops, tablets), jewelry, cash, collectible memorabilia, and the like. For such items, we suggest handling their transportation personally or notifying the lead mover to ensure proper packaging. For specific coverage exclusions, please refer to our "Terms and Conditions" section.
FLAT SCREEEN TV POLICY - we require you to make sure TV is accessible for testing before our movers start wrapping and protecting it. If you are unable to demonstrate working condition of the TV prior to handling, we cannot assume liability for it, but will absolutely handle it with care.
In the unfortunate event of damage caused by our negligence, we take full responsibility for our actions. If you observe any damage during the move, we kindly request that you report it to us promptly. This enables us to swiftly investigate the incident and work towards a resolution. A representative from Local Orange County Movers will assess the circumstances leading to the accident and, at our discretion, offer repair, replacement, or compensation for the damages.
Additionally, it's worth noting that certain upscale apartment complexes and many commercial offices require a certificate of business liability insurance. To secure this certificate, we need to collaborate with our insurance provider several days before the actual move. The cost of the insurance certificate is $100 per insured building.
