Over the years, we have operated without requiring a reservation deposit, relying on the courtesy of our customers to give advance notice of cancellations or rescheduling. However, we have recently experienced a significant increase in last-minute cancellations and "no-shows," which have resulted in financial losses for our business. These losses include missed opportunities, paid wages, fuel expenses, and vehicle costs incurred when customers decide not to proceed with their move or fail to be present upon our arrival.
After careful analysis, we have determined that we can no longer absorb these expenses. Consequently, we have introduced a Refundable Reservation Deposit policy to protect ourselves from such losses. We kindly request you to review our Reservation Deposit, Cancellation, Re-Scheduling, and "No-show" policies outlined below:
Reservation Deposit: A reservation deposit is now mandatory for every move. Once we receive a reservation request, our agent will send you a deposit invoice via email. This one-time payment is necessary to secure your moving date. The deposit amount will be based on the complexity of the move and the number of movers required. It's important to note that these deposits are fully refundable if you submit a written cancellation notice at least 72 hours before the scheduled move.
Cancellations: To receive a full refund of your reservation deposit, please submit a cancellation request in writing using our simple electronic contact form at least 72 hours before the scheduled moving date.
Re-Scheduling: We understand that plans can change, and we aim to accommodate our customers' needs. However, re-scheduling requests can only be accepted through a telephone conversation with our agents at least 72 hours before the scheduled move. Re-scheduling is contingent on crew availability and may involve pricing adjustments. Any requests made within 72 hours of the move will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
"No Show" Policy: When you book a moving reservation, you expect our professional movers to arrive on time. After collecting the reservation deposit, we commit our movers to serve you, relying on our customers to meet them at the designated location. In cases where our movers are not met at your doorstep, 100% of the minimum quoted amount will be billed to your credit card.
Late Notice Cancellations: Moves canceled by the customer after 6 PM on the day before the scheduled move will be subject to a minimum charge of 3 hours of service. Please note that our office staff works until 6 PM and reopens at 8 AM the following morning. Consequently, we are unable to alter the schedule of moving crews dispatched for a 7 AM start time.
